Look, a horse! Grandness without self-conceit, friendship without envy, beauty without vanity. Ready servant but never a slave.
The relationship of a man and horse has its roots in the distant past. The oldest pictures depicting a horse appeared in cave paintings about 15 000 years ago. Although we will never find out who the first person to ride a horse was, one thing is certain, it was a deed for the whole mankind.
To ride on a horseback through the countryside, feel the horse’s power; sense throughout your body its every move, its warmth and to experience the indescribable euphoria of a fast ride, to be aware of the partnership between you and another living being – all these seem to form a part of basic human needs of every person.
As somebody once said: “Horses give us wings, which we would otherwise lack”.
